Protein Cookie Dough Bites

My husband loves to send me about 20 Instagrams DM's a day with different things he finds, many of which are recipes!

He recently sent me these protein cookie dough bites that met my requirements ;) and I  happened to have all of the ingredients on hand and they looked simple enough, that I thought I'd whip some up for us!

They turned out delicious and they were super easy to make. Great for a snack or dessert!

The one caveat to this recipe is, if you've been following me for a while, you know how I feel about protein powders, most of them are not great for our gut. With that being said, I'm very picky about protein powders if and when I use them. My favorite one that I've found and have been using lately is from a brand called Tejari.

Check out THIS Instagram post I did with more about protein powders and which ingredients you want to be sure to avoid.

I hope you enjoy these little bites of goodness!

I n g r e d i e n t s:

  • 1 c. almond flour

  • 1/2 c. nut butter (I used almond butter)

  • 1/2 c. vanilla protein powder ( I use this one)

  • 1/4. c Pure maple syrup (NOT pancake syrup, there's a difference!)

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/4 c. chocolate chips (I used these)

D i r e c t i o n s :

  1. Add all ingredients into a large bowl and mix until well combined. If it's not all sticking together add more nut butter

  2. Roll into balls

  3. Refrigerate for at least 20 mins

  4. Enjoy!

  5. Store in fridge for 7-10 days
