This smoothie is bomb...if I do say so myself ;) I recently bought a new plant based protein powder and was excited to make a smoothie with it. I took to my usual Scrounge tactics and used what I had in my kitchen to mix up a new smoothie recipe. A friend of mine recently told me she has been looking for smoothie recipes that aren't solely fruit based because she feels they're too sweet. This smoothie is a great alternative to fruit based smoothies, the only fruit I use is blueberries. Don't be intimidated by the ingredients, just trust me it is SO tasty! You can thank me later :)

Ingredients
1 c. homemade almond milk (add more to blend)
2 scoops Ora chocolate planted based protein powder (if you have another chocolate protein powder at home, try using that, I'd recommend one that isn't high in sugar)
½ avocado (frozen or fresh)
3 c. frozen blueberries
Dash of cinnamon
2 tbsp almond butter
½ c. frozen coconut (or shredded unsweetened coconut will work too, but you may want to add some ice to make it colder)
¼ cup spinach (optional)
Preparation
Put all ingredients in blender and blend on high for 1 minute
