Coffee, Chocolate, Banana, Nut Butter Smoothie

Say hello to your new morning cup of jo!! This Coffee, Chocolate, Banana, Nut Butter Smoothie will knock your socks off! Let me tell you, adding a little bit of coffee to your smoothie is SO tasty and adds just enough caffeine to help get you moving in the morning.

It will not only give you your morning dose of energy, but it's balanced with lots of nutrients from the cocoa, banana, flax seed, oats, chia seeds, etc. so you'll feel nourished too! It's your coffee and breakfast all in one damn good smoothie ;). My love for smoothies runs deep because they're pretty hard to mess up, so you can pretty much throw whatever you have in a blender and create something magical. Smoothies are the perfect way to ease into Scrounging!

If you don't have these exact ingredients, Scrounge with the things you have at home! You may end up creating something even better!

  • If you don't have cocoa powder or collagen peptides, use regular chocolate protein powder

  • If you don't have almond butter, use peanut butter or powdered peanut butter

  • If you don't have cauliflower do without or you could try frozen zucchini

  • If you don't have chia seeds or flax seed, use hemp seeds or do without

  • If you don't have yogurt, use coconut flakes

I n g r e d i e n t s

8 oz coffee (chilled coffee is best but you can also use freshly brewed and just add ice)

1 tbsp almond butter

1/2 tsp. 100% raw cocoa powder

1/2 banana (frozen or regular)

1/4 c. oatmeal (optional but helps with texture to make it thicker)

1/4 c. frozen cauliflower rice or frozen cauliflower (optional)

2 tbsp of plain almond milk yogurt or whatever plain yogurt you have at home

1-2 tsp flax seed (optional)

1-2 tsp chia seeds (optional)

1-2 dashes of cinnamon (optional)

3-4 frozen nut milk cubes or if you don't have frozen nut milk just pour in 3-4 tbsp

1-2 handful of ice (I'd use more if you use freshly brewed coffee)

D i r e c t i o n s

Add all ingredients to high powered blender and blend approx. 1 min. If you have a tamper you will likely need to use that in the beginning to get the ingredients flowing.

If you need more liquid add more nut milk or coffee or even yogurt.
